Family Visitation Center

In stressful times, it's important for families to stay connected. Our family visitation center fosters this in a safe and structured setting.

The people we serve:

  • Parents of children in temporary foster care.
  • Children in foster care.
  • Their siblings.
  • How the program works:

  • The Department of Children and Families (DCF) make referrals to the program. Self-referrals are also welcome.
  • Program offers a cozy, yet structured setting for children to visit with their biological parents and/ or siblings.
  • Trained, professional family support workers supervise visits, plan activities, and help parents structure positive, constructive time with their children.
  • Training in parenting skills and other support services helps families form healthy relationships so children can eventually return home.
  • Parents participate in weekly parent education/support groups at no cost.
  • Foster families participate in regular support groups.
