Adoption and Foster Care

All children need good homes. This program finds them for children between the ages of 6 to 15.

The people we serve:

  • Children removed from their birth families for safety reasons.
  • Teenagers of all races living in residential facilities or short-term foster homes.
  • Siblings who want to grow up together.
  • Children who need and want a home of their very own.
  • Caring adults-and their children-who would like to become foster or adoptive families.
  • How the program works:

  • The foster or adoptive family submits an application.
  • Klingberg conducts a home study.
  • The family learns more about children who needs homes through volunteering and formal training.
  • The family provides medical, financial, and other information.
  • Klingberg matches the family's unique needs with one or more children.
  • The child or children and prospective family get to know each other.
  • Klingberg places the child with the family and provides ongoing support.
